The Sector Skills Agreement for IT

e-skills UK’s mission is to unite employers, educators and government on a common agenda for change. The SSA for IT embodies this in the form of an Action Plan outlining a common strategy for the 3 years from 2005 to 2008.
New strategic plans are now available for the period 2009-2014 - go to

The SSA for IT Action Plan for England was launched on 14 June 05 with Minister for Skills, Phil Hope. The SSA update "Real People, Real Successes" was published in October 06.

The SSA for IT Action Plan for Wales was launched on 13 July 05 at an event opened by First Minister Rhodri Morgan.

The SSA for IT Action Plan for Scotland was launched on 14 September 05 at an event hosted by Nicol Stephen MSP, Deputy First Minister and Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning and Allan Wilson, MSP, Deputy Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning.

The SSA for IT Action Plan for Northern Ireland was launched on 7 February 2007. It was developed with the support of Momentum, the trade association for ICT companies in Northern Ireland.
