About e-skills UK
Our purpose
A catalyst for change
The competitiveness and productivity of every company is dependent on it having access to the skills it needs – today and in the future. The prosperity of the UK is dependent on the success of its businesses. Our role is to bring together employers, educators and government and unite them on a common employer-led agenda for action on skills.
Our vision is that together we can create a skills pool in the UK that enables the unrestricted growth of IT and Telecoms, with the whole economy benefiting from the opportunities offered by technology exploitation. This ranges from the ability of businesses to understand and gain competitive advantage from the exploitation of IT, through to the IT user skills every person needs to participate in the e-economy.
e-skills UK is also the lead body for Contact Centres within the Skills for Business Network, with responsibility for Outsourced Contact Centres and for standards, qualifications and frameworks for Contact Centres.
