Recruit and train your new professionals
If you’re an IT and Telecoms employer, apprenticeships can give you a highly cost-effective route to recruiting and training your next generation of professionals.
They can also help fill the skills gap caused by falling numbers of Computing students.
Why apprenticeships?
Wage costs compare well to other recruitment routes – apprentices are paid a minimum of £100 per week.
Apprenticeships are likely to generate loyalty to your company among your trainees.
Young apprentices bring an innate understanding of technology to your organisation.
Your apprentices will gain a deep understanding of your organisational culture early on in their career.

A new generation of apprenticeship
With more than 500,000 new entrants needed for the IT sector over the next five years, ensuring a ready supply of enthusiastic and well-educated recruits is critical. The graduate route will always be an important source, but employers increasingly need to broaden their search if they are to find tomorrow’s IT professionals.
IT apprenticeships are a recent but proven recruitment and training tool for employers. Although apprenticeships are historically associated primarily with craft and trade skills, the apprenticeship principles of a carefully structured and delivered programme of learning and experience is now turning out high-quality employees in new skill areas, such as IT.
