e-skills UK have carried out research with employers on what they value in a training provider. The top 5 attributes they look for were:

• Relevant Content (up-to-date with technology and the industry)
• Knowledgeable trainers
• Competitive Cost
• Comprehensive Course Materials
• Respected Certifications

The SSDA have also completed research together with e-skills UK titled "Raising Sector Skill Levels - How responsive is local training supply?". Employers look for value and bottom-line benefits from training, and as training providers it is increasingly important that you can demonstrate that employers will see a return on their investment (e.g. Employers look for off-the-job training that directly relates to on-the-job responsibility.)
