IT User(ITQ) Apprenticeships
“IT user” is not normally a job title but a specific skill which most employers need their employees to have. This is because most businesses now use IT for many of their vital functions such as keeping track of finances, managing customer relationships, supporting the rapid processing of orders and stock control. In addition, to remain successful, managers need to understand how to best exploit IT for the benefit of the business. Having the ability to use IT effectively therefore allows an individual to work in the sector of their choice. To give you just a few examples, an IT user apprenticeship will be appropriate for people in jobs such as:
Website Designer - Desktop Publishing
- Music Production
- Office Administrator
- Flight Controller
- Management
- Banking
At the end of the IT User (ITQ) Apprenticeship / Advanced Apprenticeship learning programme, candidates will have achieved the IT skills they need, tailored to the sector of their choice. They will be familiar with IT 'best practice' as well as the organisation's business procedures and objectives. The Apprenticeship also prepares them for further progression opportunities within work based learning, such as managerial roles, as well as Higher Education.
