e-skills UK in Northern Ireland

ICT Future Skills Action Plan

A Future Skills Action Group (FSAG) for ICT was established in 2007 to focus on particular skills issues in the ICT sector in Northern Ireland. The group found that the software sector, Northern Ireland's largest growth area, was facing particular problems attracting recruits with the right skills.

The ICT Future Skills Action Plan was published in June 2008 to address these skills needs, and to co-ordinate activity across DEL, InvestNI, e-skills UK, Momentum and industry.

In addition, two reports have since been published, highlighting the ICT Future Skills Action Group's achievements to date and outlining key areas to focus on over the next 12 months.
