ICT Future Skills Action Plan

Subsequent to the publication of the Sector Skills Agreement for Norther Ireland, it became apparent to the Department for Employment and Learning that there were particular skills issues facing the software part of the ICT sector, which is the largest growth area within NI's ICT industry.

A Future Skills Action Group (FSAG) for ICT was established.

As a result of the workings of that group, a short term plan of action was developed to address these skills needs, and to co-ordinate activity across DEL, InvestNI, e-skills UK, Momentum and industry. The ICT Future Skills Action Plan was published in June 2008.

In addition, a report has been published, one year on, highlighting the ICT FSAG's achievements to date and outlining key areas to focus on over the next 12 months.
