e-skills UK in Wales

Employers Forum for Wales

Purpose and objectives

The forum is e-skills UK's mechanism for interfacing employers with government in Wales. Its purpose is to:

  • Unite employers, educators and government on a common, employer-led skills agenda for action in Wales
  • Influence government funding agencies on skills related issues
  • Represent the educational needs and skills development needs of employers

Forum members

The forum currently comprises 14 company representatives from IT, Telecoms, and those that have a specific interest in IT user skills and can represent the breadth of interest in our sector.

They are:

Alcatel-Lucent, BT, Cardiff Financial Partnership, Draig Technology, EADS DS, EDS, Fujitsu, General Dynamics, Microsoft, Mitel, NLIAH (representing NHS Wales), Steria, the Social Care Partnership for Wales and the Welsh Federation for Small Business.
