e-skills UK in Wales

Employers' Forum for Wales

Purpose and objectives

The forum is e-skills UK's mechanism for interfacing employers with government in Wales. Its purpose is to:

  • Unite employers, educators and government on a common, employer-led skills agenda for action in Wales
  • Influence government funding agencies on skills related issues
  • Represent the educational needs and skills development needs of employers

Forum members

The forum currently comprises 14 company representatives from IT, Telecoms, and those that have a specific interest in IT user skills and can represent the breadth of interest in our sector.

They are:

Alcatel Lucent, BT, Cardiff Financial Partnership, Care Sector Wales, Draig Technology, DFTSSC, EADS DS, Fujitsu, the Federation of Small Businesses, General Dynamics, HP Services, Microsoft, Mitel and Steria.
