The challenge
In order for UK businesses to thrive in an increasingly competitive global market, there needs to be a significant increase in both the flow of young people entering the IT and Telecoms workforce and also their level of competence on entry.

Yet there is currently a dislocation between the needs of the economy and the education system in terms of technology-related learning and skills, with a consequent threat to competitiveness and productivity in every sector.
