About the Diploma in IT

The Diploma in IT is one of 17 new Diplomas for 14 to 19 year-olds. This new qualification contains a sophisticated blend of theoretical and applied learning. Students can take GCSEs and A levels within, and in addition to the Diploma itself. It will give young people a broad range of options after school or college, from higher education to employment in a variety of industries.

The Diploma in IT has been developed in partnership with employers and universities. The delivery of Diplomas relies upon a wider body of individuals and organisations. For example, Education Business Partnerships (EBPs) will be instrumental in securing work experience placements and other involvement from employers for many thousands of learners.
