About
The e-skills UK Research and Policy unit monitors and analyses policy developments emerging from government departments, as well as regional and national bodies. We provide high quality policy consultations, influencing government debate and policy development. The aim of the unit is to ensure that e-skills UK are aware of and able to influence the developing policy initiatives that will shape education and training in the IT and Telecoms sector as well as IT user skills across the UK.
Our main outputs include:
- responses to consultations
- policy briefing papers
- a range of other activities and events
Latest input
In response to the Inquiry into Post-16 Training launched by the House of Commons Select Committee for Education and Skills, e-skills UK has drawn a memorandum to provide input, focusing on the areas where, as an employer-led body, we can add most value. The document starts to set out our thinking in terms of the post-Leitch environment - what a demand-led system would look like, and the extent to which this differs from today's environment for our sector.
