Raising the bar for ICT

e-skills UK has issued "Raising the bar for ICT: Securing KS4 curriculum and relevant ICT pathways" a report submitted to QCDA (Qualifications and Curriculum Developepment Agency) as part of a review of the Key Stage 4 (KS4) curriculum in ICT.

The report contains recommendations of how to secure better delivery of the ICT national curriculum for all pupils at KS4 and how to ensure that schools offer ICT qualifications that engage and motivate learners, are valued by employers and support progression to higher level qualifications.

The research is primarily concerned with ICT at KS4 but with some consideration of Key Stage 5. The findings are based on research conducted amongst employers, teachers, learners and parents.
