IT and Telecoms Insights 2008 

Purpose

The 'IT and Telecoms Insights 2008' suite of reports covers today's reality and forecasts the future based on the best available global intelligence, considering the needs of all those who have a role to play in driving the IT and Telecoms skills agenda, including:

• all those working in IT and Telecoms firms;
• IT users and IT & Telecoms professionals working in other industries;
• business managers and leaders that need to be equipped to realise the potential of ICT;
• national and regional policy makers;
• those responsible for developing and improving the ICT skills of the current/future workforce and
• individuals requiring the knowledge and skills to fully participate in the e-economy.

Strategic plans

On the basis of this 'Insights' research and our UK-wide consultation, we have developed strategic plans for England, Scotland and Wales. Their purpose is to set out a coherent suite of skills strategies that enable each nation to derive maximum benefit from the power of technology to transform competitiveness and productivity.
