According to e-skills UK research, only 1 in 10 (11%) companies calculate the return on investment (ROI) of IT expenditure.  In your opinion is this because:

1. ROI for IT expenditure is difficult to measure
2. Companies don’t have enough time or resources available to do this
3. Numbers alone don’t tell the full story of the contribution of IT to the business

In response to the question ‘Do you think the UK has the professional IT skills it needs to compete in the global economy?’ 39% said yes and 61% said no.
