Recruiting students for new Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) Degree course

A number of selected universities are now recruiting students for the new employer developed and endorsed BSC(Hons) in IT Management for Business Degree course starting in September.

e-skills UK has been working with top companies - including BT, CA, Dell, Ford, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Norwich Union - to ensure that the new degree meets the needs of employers. The new ITMB Degree will equip successful students for an outstanding career in management or consultancy roles within the IT and Telecommunications industry and within IT departments of large organisations.

The Degree provides 3 fundamental career pillars:

• a basic understanding of business drivers and processes
• a grounding in IT and how it transforms business
• the personal skills needed to succeed

Students who complete the course successfully will have an inside track to a career with the participating companies.
