Made IT Happen - A new competition for pupils aged 9 to 11 in all primary schools across the UK
e-skills UK unites industry, educators and government in collaborative, employer-led action to ensure the UK has the technology-related skills it needs to compete in the global economy

The Competition

The 'Made IT Happen' competition 2007 is now closed and the winning schools from each region and nation have been announced. Teachers and students from the winning school projects were invited to a special Awards Ceremony at the House of Commons in London on 15th October where they received their prize from the Speaker of the House of Commons and where the overall UK-wide winners were announced. Joint first prize was awarded to Thomas' Battersea School in London and Woodhill Primary School in Bishopbriggs, Scotland. The runner-up was St Nicholas CE Primary School in Crosby, North West England. View our photo and video gallery.

We would like to congratulate all of the schools that entered the 'Made IT Happen' competition for the high quality of their entries. This new competition, for pupils aged 9 to 11 in all primary and junior schools across the UK (public and private), is organised by the Parliamentary Information Technology Committee (PITCOM) in partnership with e-skills UK. The competition looks for schools that use technology (ICT) to help the school or local community.

More than 170 primary schools across the UK registered for the 2007 'Made IT Happen' competition, with 50 entries selected for the final round of judging.
