New Calculator for IT and Telecoms Professionals!

Following the success of the ITQ Calculator for the new qualifications for IT Users - see www.itq.org.uk - e-skills UK has created a new Calculator for IT and Telecoms Professionals.

This Calculator is available to help training providers create a profile for their candidate that will both meet their training needs and include enough credit values for a qualification to be awarded (NVQ/SVQ in Information & Communication Technologies, level 1 to 5).

Use the Calculator to help individuals

• to create a profile that meets the skills needs of the individual and the employer
• to view the standards that sit behind each area of competence to ensure that the level and skills are appropriate
• to understand what kind of activities they will be undertaking
• to ensure that they will achieve at least the number of credit values to gain a qualification, if this is their aim (not everyone may wish to take a full qualification)

NB - There are 6 different 'skins' (colour schemes) for the Calculator so that you can choose one that displays most clearly on your system. The look may be changed by clicking on the 'Look and feel' button on the opening page and highlighting the choices until you find the one most suitable for you.

The Calculator is available as an exe file at www.e-skills.com/nvq or www.e-skills.com/svq.
