New permanent job opportunity within e-skills UK - apply by 16th January 2009
We are looking for a customer-focused, excellence-driven individual to provide support for the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Sector Qualification Reform Programme (SQRP) within e-skills UK. This position is permanent, based at our London Office in Victoria, and offers a competitive package.
The key responsibilities of the role are the successful handling of all NOS and qualification queries; liaising with the UK Commission for Employment & Skills and co-ordination with the internal finance team on NOS and SQRP contracts; and providing administrative support for the qualifications related activities such as consultations and endorsement services. The role will also involve working closely with qualification regulatory authorities and awarding bodies including secretariat services for the e-skills UK Joint Awarding Body Forum.
The successful applicant will have comprehensive experience of providing a responsive administrative support service, have first class customer service skills, good IT user skills, an awareness of the IT sector from both a user and professional prospective (Telecoms desirable but not essential), had previous involvement in NOS or qualification development and have an interest and understanding of the work of Sector Skills Councils, the role of qualification regulators, funders, awarding bodies and a working knowledge of the SQRP.
