Creating The IT Nation - e-skills UK issues strategic plans for 2009-2014

e-skills UK has issued new strategic plans for England, Scotland and Wales for 2009-2014. These plans address the skills needs of the IT sector, and e-skills UK’s contribution to the IT-related skills needs of business leaders and individuals in all sectors, over the next 5 years.

Based on research input from over 4,000 employers, their purpose is to set out a coherent suite of skills strategies that enable each nation to derive maximum benefit from the power of technology to transform competitiveness and productivity.

e-skills UK would like to thank all those who contributed to the consultation on these plans; this input was greatly valued and helped us to shape our prioritisation and action plans.

The strategic plans are available free of charge, in hard and soft copy, on the e-skills UK website at www.e-skills.com/strategy.
