Employer engagement

e-skills UK has produced a general guide to local employer engagement which gives advice regarding engaging employers in the Diploma in IT. We also have a supporting film introducing the guide. (You need to be logged on to e-skills.com to download the document).

Consortia support

Case Studies
Throughout June and July, e-skills UK will be gathering examples of best practice for employer and higher education engagement. These case studies will be made available on www.e-skills.com/diploma  If you are a consortium, employer or higher education institute and would like to contribute, please e-mail diploma@e-skills.com to get involved.

Survey
e-skills UK recently sent out a survey to all Gateway 1 consortia with the theme of progressing towards delivery in September. If you are a Gateway 1 consortium delivering in September 2008 and have not received the survey, please e-mail diploma@e-skills.com  to participate.

Poster
e-skills UK has developed a poster aimed at young people that explains the Diploma in IT in a language that prospective students will understand. It is available in A2 and A3 sizes and would be suitable for a classroom or careers adviser’s wall. If you would like obtain a copy of this, please contact diploma@e-skills.com

Delivery 09
The Department for Children, Schools and Families has announced the results for Gateway 2. There will be 89 consortia from across England delivering the Diploma in IT from September 09. (Some consortia have conditions for delivery). For more information regarding the Gateway 2 results, please see the DCSF website.
