14-19 IT Diploma

Providing an inspiring, technology related education for young people aged 14–19

In the most radical reform to education for over half a century, the Government announced in February 2005 that it would introduce a new secondary qualification for 14 to 19 year olds.

The new Diplomas will provide an exciting, stretching and relevant programme of learning for young people. Through a blend of general education and applied learning they will prepare young people for university and work.

e-skills UK has been working closely with employers, education and the Government to develop the content and structure for the Diploma relating to IT, which will be available from September 2008.
