What do I do if I have not received the 12 digit access code to register with e-skills Passport Office for the first time?
You should receive your 12 digit access code from us within two working days of sending a completed order form to passportsales@e-skills.com.
Occasionally you may find these emails are not received: please see other FAQ items for more information. If you would like your 12 digit access code re-sent please use the contact us form on the site, stating your organisation name.
What do I do if an email address is already in use when creating new users or administrators?
e-skills Passport accounts require unique email addresses to ensure there are no duplicate accounts on the system. If an email address is already in use, check:
- They have not already been set up in your e-skills Passport Office
- They don’t have an e-skills Passport account with a previous organisation. If they do it is possible to import them into your organisation. To see how to import users view the guide for administrators and managers.
- If the user has an alternative email address you can use.
Note: An individual can be a user and an administrator under the same account so does not have to be created twice for the separate functions.
What is the role of a Manager in e-skills Passport?
A manager’s role in e-skills Passport is to approve/notapprove learner’s self-assessments. As the manager of a team you will be notified, via email, every time a team member completes their assessment and requests manager approval.
Other functions managers can perform are to run reports on their team’s performance and search for any team member. View the guide for administrators and managers for more information.
What are the benefits of creating profiles for users?
The benefits of creating profiles are it allows you to ascertain skills gaps across your organisation in different areas of skill. By setting learning targets you can run skills gap analysis and ranking reports to view where the gaps exist and prioritise training needs. It also means that learners will only be required to assess against techniques relevant to their job or qualification and be able to work towards set learning targets.
What is the difference between an ITQ profile and a job role profile?
An ITQ profile is for candidates undertaking an ITQ qualification. The profile must be designed towards a level 1, 2 or 3 ITQ and there is an ITQ calculator to help you build your profile to the right requirements.
Job profiles are based on the same skills but are not required to meet any rules of combination. They can be designed for different areas of work in your organisation (e.g. marketing or admin) or can be done on a per individual basis
