iPhone without a doubt
How can we make IT careers more attractive to girls?
Start from the earliest age possible and encourage use of technology. Hold inspiring talks by key female figures that have strong technical positions.
What one piece of advice would you give to an 18 year old career starter today?
Ensure you work out what your strengths are and work on them.
What’s your hot tip for women wanting to get to the top at work?
Not being afraid to stand out, taking control and having the strength to admit they have made a mistake and identify the root of the problem. It is important to continue evolving in the workplace, to continue learning and accepting that people with different competencies will occupy the same workspace. Focus on self development and not being afraid to ask for help. A good attitude will get you far.
What do you predict we'll be doing with technology in 20 years?
Underground on the tube will be a key advancement.
What is the role you’d love to do…one day?
Manage people/a team at ITV, or one day if I work for myself manage people that work for me. This will enable me to understand even further how people work, how to integrate different ideas, bounce off people and how to lead people as well as project manage. Taking different roles and turning them into one role - project manager/motivator/leader/co-ordinator is the greatest challenge of all.
Tweet-yourself…describe yourself in 140 characters
Social, caring, outgoing, approachable, ambitious, determined and usually don’t let a mistake set me back. Going forward and forward, only onwards is one of my key mottos in life.
