Participate in an event for students

Take part in an IT event

Share your knowledge with students by sponsoring an IT learning day

Are you an employer who wants to help enthuse young people about technology and inform them about IT careers , but don’t have a venue to host a group of visiting students? Volunteering to take part in an out-of-school and out-of-office event can be a rewarding experience for you, your colleagues and the pupils involved.

How can I help out?

Sponsoring an event for students at an external venue provides students with a similar experience to a day at your company.  If you don’t have a venue available, you can provide:

  • business challenges based on scenarios at your company for the students to work on
  • a team of IT professionals to speak at the event and run activities with students
  • a panel of judges to decide on a winning group, as well as small prizes for the winning students

Where will I hold the event?

You don’t have to invite the students into your office to help them understand more about working in IT. e-skills UK can help you to find the right location in a university or other suitable venue.
