Already inspiring girls about IT?
Get in touch!
We know that many employers are already doing fantastic work to connect their employees with young people. Several companies and networks have initiatives focused on supporting girls as part of internal volunteering programmes or education outreach schemes.
If you've already been working with schools to inspire girls about IT careers, then we'd like to hear all about it. Send us your story directly through our online form.
Get inspired!
24 organisations have supported the Girls in IT campaign so far, including:

Goldman Sachs volunteers have visited 13 schools, delivered 18 presentations and presented to over 1300 students so far
Centrica have hosted an event at their offices for 40 local schoolgirls
Infosys have hosted an event at their offices for 35 local schoolgirls
Three reasons to share your success story with us:
1) Help raise the profile and success of the wider Girls in IT campaign
Letting us know about the opportunities you are offering students, and the impact these activities have had on the way girls view working in technology will help us raise the profile of the Girls in IT campaign.
The more we can evidence the impact that employer engagement has on raising aspirations and giving young people advice on subject and career choices, the more companies will want to get involved. And importantly, the more attention we will gain from decision-makers in education, industry and government.
2) Provide your organisation or network with additional publicity
e-skills UK has a network of 8,000 subscribers comprising industry, government and education. We regularly post news items on our website and send out frequent targeted newsletters. We regularly distribute press releases and are keen to promote the successes of employers we work with in conjunction with the Girls in IT campaign.
3) Help new volunteers by sharing best practice and advice
Volunteers and companies getting involved for the first time will benefit from your experiences working with students.
Whether your team have been delivering careers talks in the classroom for months, you have a successful mentoring scheme or you’ve just hosted your first event for girls, your insights and examples will help other members of the community make a bigger impact. There may also be opportunities for collaboration or partnership working that we may be able to broker with you.
