The Welsh Baccalaureate is available at three levels; foundation, intermediate and advanced.
Foundation
Foundation level is designed for 14-16 year olds. The Principal Learning consists of the following topics:

Intermediate
Intermediate level is designed for 14-16 year olds and focuses on the development of IT professional skills and competencies. The Principal Learning consists of the following topics:

- Exploring Organisations
- Effective Communication
- Skills for Innovation
- Technology Systems
- Multimedia
- Managing Projects
Advanced
Advanced level is designed for 16-19 year olds and focuses on the extended development of IT professional skills and competencies. The Principal Learning consists of the following topics:

- Understanding Organisations
- Professional Development
- Creating Technology Solutions
- Managing Technology Systems
- Multimedia and Digital Projects
- Making Projects Successful
The Principal Learning in IT for the Welsh Baccalaureate is being offered by WJEC in conjunction with Edexcel.
