Fun IT-knowledge building designed around sport, music and fashion
Inspire your students to think about technology and IT careers by engaging them on subjects close to their hearts – fashion, music and sports – with the Computer Clubs for Girls online club (CC4G).
Created for 10-14-year-old girls and used in computer clubs, it’s a great way to bring IT to life for your students.
Making IT-based learning fun
CC4G’s award-winning programme is:
- relevant: the programme captures girls’ imagination at an age when they become less interested in IT in a school environment
- fun: content is built around real-life subjects that matter to young people, like sport, music and fashion
- encouraging: CC4G addresses the gender imbalance in the IT industry by disproving negative misconceptions about IT jobs for girls
- flexible: all content is aligned to the National Curriculum at key stages 2 and 3, and can be used in the classroom as well as an extracurricular resource
- inclusive: CC4G works for extra-curricular clubs for 10-14-year-old girls, with fun, quick activities based on topics they love.
CC4G changes girls’ attitudes to IT
The programme is changing attitudes to IT, reaching 135,000 girls in more than 3,700 schools.
When asked if they would now consider further education or a career in technology, 84% of girls taking part in CC4G said they would.
Encouraging family learning: CC4G Family

CC4G helps parents and carers get involved intheir child’s school life in the single most valuable way there is – by learning together.
CC4G Family makes IT, the internet and technology a force for good in family life with:
- easy steps to internet and IT skills for parents and carers – staying safe, using social networks and more
- fun learning journeys to take as a family
- a direct route to confidence and safety for families online
Plus, practising and increasing their IT skills at home has a direct link to children achieving better grades at school too.
